Take a Chance at the Public: New Musical A Second Chance Opens Off-Broadway

The New York premiere of Ted Shen’s A Second Chance celebrates its opening night off-Broadway on March 30. The new musical, directed by Jonathan Butterell, stars real-life husband and wife Brian and Diane Sutherland.

A Second Chance tells the New York story of a recent widower and a divorcee who meet in mid-life and mid-crisis. Presented with the overwhelming challenge of freeing themselves from their painful pasts, neither feels deserving of happiness. Yet, the awakening of unanticipated feelings leads them to a possibility they both least expected to find.

The production will run at the Public’s Shiva Theater through April 13.
